Derfly by Animaderm is an ultra-long-lasting insect repellent with 48-72 hour wear. This care product effectively protects against flies, mosquitoes and other insects. It is sweat and shower resistant. Used as a "lotion" on the mane and tail, Derfly is also very effective in preventing itching and acting as a barrier against culicoides. For optimal effectiveness, shake the bottle vigorously with a finger on the cap before use then apply Derfly against the grain on a clean horse (trimmed and brushed). Depending on the use of the insect repellent lotion, it can be applied by hand directly or with a glove.

2 to 3 applications per week depending on the choice of use.
In “classic” insect repellent: 2 to 3 applications per week. Apply against the grain with a glove (for easy application) insisting on the main areas where insects lay (rump, neck, back, limbs).
In prevention of dermatitis: 2 to 3 applications per week. Apply by hand to the mane and the top of the tail like a lotion. Then in the opposite direction with a glove, apply to areas usually affected by hair loss or scratching.
As a lotion to reduce light scratching: 2 applications per week. Apply to the base of the hair and on the coward, directly on the skin.
As a moisturizing lotion: 2 applications per week on the driest areas of skin.

Indeed, due to the presence of coconut oil, Derfly can thicken or solidify below +20°C ambient temperature.
To use Derfly when the outside temperature is lower than +20°C, run the bottle for 1 minute under hot water then shake to liquefy the components. If there is no hot water available, leave the bottle in the sun or warm it up by placing it against you in your coat for about ten minutes (or behind a car windshield in direct sunlight, it works too!).
Derfly can be applied to pregnant mares and foals over 6 months old.

Je recommande ce produit vraiment très facile à poser et extrêmement efficace. Mon cheval a fait cette année une grosse réaction aux piqûres de mouche et après plusieurs essaie de différents produit c est le seul qui a soulagé très rapidement mon cheval. Chevaux en patûre h 24 il a tenu 3 jours malgré d’une journée de pluie ! Au top
