White Willow by ESC Laboratoire is a tree from the Salicaceae family. This tree, common in humid areas throughout Europe and temperate regions, is often cultivated for the production of willow. Willow branches provide the wicker. Deciduous leaves, measuring 5 to 12 cm long, very narrow and presenting a silvery side, the bark of branches aged 2 to 3 years is harvested for medicinal use.

Main components of the plant: Salicylates (1.5 to 11%), flavonic and glycoside derivatives of the salicoside group, salicortin, fragilin, populin, salireposide, tremulacin. Phenolic compounds: triandrin, vimaline and aromatic derivatives, saligenin syringic aldehyde, salicylic acid, para-hydroxybenzoic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, p-coumaric acid. Flavonoids: glycosides of quercetol, luteolin, eriodictyol, naringenin, ampelopsin and isosalipurpuroside. Tannins: dimeric and trimer proanthocyanidins (8 to 20%). White willow, source of salicylate derivatives with soothing properties. White willow is recommended in cases of sensitivity or joint stiffness. This care product can also be used on stressed or nervous horses.

  • Dose to add to the basic ration for an adult horse (550kg): 30 g per day for 3 weeks. To be renewed if necessary. Do not hesitate to seek the advice of your veterinarian before use or extension.
    Usage precautions: pregnant or lactating mares: on veterinary advice only. Not recommended for foals or if taking anticoagulant treatment. Formulated for equines. Close tightly after use. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
