Hippo Joints by ESC Laboratoire is a high-performance complementary feed made from a wide choice of plants and enriched with agents known for their benefits on horse joints: Marine collagen: collagen fibers, a natural component extracted from fish bone skin or scales from the seafood processing process, contribute to the elasticity of cartilage and strengthen the capacity of joints to absorb shocks MSM: MSM is a sulfur compound present in very small quantities in many foods. It also comes from the oxidation of a wood pulp product (pine lignin for example). The sulfur it contains helps to maintain connective tissues (tendons, cartilage, etc.) in good condition. Glucosamine sulfate: glucosamine is made by the body from glucose and glutamine, an amino acid. Glucosamine plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of cartilage. When the glucosamine manufacturing process goes wrong, the cartilage becomes fragile and osteoarthritis can set in. Commercial glucosamine is synthesized from shellfish fragments. It would increase the lubricating action of the synovial fluid. What to combine the Hippo Articulation care product with? For a reinforced phytonutrition treatment, Hippo Articulation can be supplemented with a treatment of lithothamne, a remineralizing algae. This ocean algae is a source of easily assimilated calcium and magnesium. Useful in the event of a deficient ration or demineralization.
