Turmeric by ESC Laboratoire is a herbaceous, perennial plant 60cm to 1m high. Its rhizome (root) is light brown and orange-yellow inside. Discreet, pale yellow flowers. This spice is cultivated in tropical Asia, Africa and the West Indies.

Components: curcuminoids (curcumin), essential oil, polysaccharides, starch, iron, manganese.



Turmeric, a spice with multiple virtues:

Curcumin, which gives the yellow color to turmeric, has been the subject of numerous studies. This substance has recognized antioxidant and soothing properties. Curcuma longa root is traditionally used to soothe sensitive horse joints.
This spice is also beneficial for supporting the horse's digestive system and liver, it facilitates digestion and contributes to digestive comfort.



What to combine the Turmeric care product with?

For significant joint sensitivity, this spice can be combined with Arthromix, a unique blend of dehydrated plants with soothing, remineralizing and draining properties. As this mixture does not contain Harpagophytum, it can be distributed without risk to horses with a sensitive stomach. In case of sensitive stomach and digestive discomfort, it is possible to combine Turmeric with Aloe vera Juice. The intestinal flora plays an essential role in absorption and intestinal comfort. In order to support the intestinal flora you can distribute active yeast.

  • Directions for use: dose to add to the basic ration of an adult horse (550kg): 20 g per day for 3 weeks. If possible, distribute in 2 daily doses. To be renewed if necessary. For better assimilation of curcumin, mix with a grind of black pepper or vegetable oil. Do not hesitate to seek the advice of your veterinarian before use or extension.
    Precautions for use: not recommended in pregnant or lactating mares or in cases of gastric ulcers (at high doses). Formulated for equines. Close tightly after use. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
