KENTUCKY - COUVERTURE 160G BLEU

Turnout rug vs stable rug

The first criteria to take into account is the environment where your horse lives. If he stays outside or go often to the field, you will need a turnout rug to keep him dry. On the other hand, if your horse stays in a stable, you can pick whether a stable rug or show rug. To choose the right rug on our selection page, tick the correct environment in the filters section.

What does the rugs' filling mean?

The bigger the filling is, the more it will trap the heat, offering more warmth. The show rug with its 160g filling will thus be lighter than the stable rug with its 400g filling. Same applies for the tournout rugs.

The deniers

Denier is a unit of measurement that is used to determine the fiber thickness of individual threads or filaments used in the creation of textiles and fabrics. The higher the deniers, the more durable a rug will be. Most Kentucky Horsewear rugs are 600 deniers.
