Licorice by ESC Laboratoire is a perennial plant, from the subfamily Faboideae. Known for its very aromatic rhizomatous roots, it has been used since Antiquity for therapeutic and culinary purposes. Native to southern Europe and Asia, licorice needs a warm climate and grows preferentially in fertile and humid soils. Components: glycyrrhizic acid, coumarin, maltol, flavonoids, including: liquiritoside, isoliquiritoside, phytosterins, alkaloids, saponins, phytoestrogens, as well as mastitis, asparagine, steroids. Licorice, a plant recommended for horses prone to respiratory, digestive or joint inflammation. This care product has broad spectrum softening properties. Thus, it is particularly recommended for horses living in a dusty environment, bothered by the regular presence of mucus in the bronchi. Its properties act on the respiratory system and reduce coughs. Licorice is also known to protect the mucous membranes from gastric acidity (responsible for ulcers) by releasing thick protective mucus. Licorice is also a plant with renowned antibacterial properties and is a powerful support for developing the body's immune defenses.

  • Directions for use: dose to add to the basic ration of an adult horse (550kg): 20 g per day for 3 weeks. If possible, distribute in 2 daily doses. To be renewed if necessary. Do not hesitate to seek the advice of your veterinarian before use or extension. Precautions for use: not recommended for pregnant or lactating mares or foals. Avoid prolonged use of more than 6 weeks. Formulated for equines. Close tightly after use. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
