Metabo'Light by Vital'Herbs is a 100% natural food supplement for overweight horses or ponies unable to lose weight despite a strict diet. This Vital'Herbs care product is also recommended to support equines, insulin-resistant donkeys, chronically exhausted and/or suffering from equine metabolic syndrome.
Metabo’Light supports horses at risk:
Overweight and/or obese horses
Horses running through the grass in the spring
Horses that have already had an attack of laminitis

In combination with a strict, grain-free diet, a CMV intake is desirable.
It is important to perform herbal drainage for 15 days just before giving Metabo'Light. The liver watches over the storage of sugar: when glucose is in excess in the blood (hyperglycemia) following a grain meal for example, the pancreas secretes insulin which orders the liver to capture and store this glucose in the form of glycogen . This helps bring blood sugar levels back to normal. (Laminitis/Cushing/EMS). Conversely, when the level of glucose is too low in the blood (hypoglycemia), the pancreas secretes glucagon which orders the liver to release the glucose it has stored in order to bring blood sugar back to a normal level.
