Glycerin provides hydration and acts as a nourishing agent. For epidermis care that we want to be more hydrating, we dose vegetable glycerin from 2 to 7% of the total mixture. Vegetable glycerin is also the basic ingredient of plant macerates. In this case, we mix water with glycerin 50/50 and macerate the plants in the liquid for several weeks. What to combine the vegetable glycerin care product with? Matricaria chamomile, which has soothing properties when used externally, can be used to make a glycerin macerate intended to relieve irritation of the epidermis.
