Chaste tree by ESC Laboratoire is a shrub native to Central Asia but acclimatized throughout the Mediterranean region. Flowering in June-July with purplish-purple flowers, producing fleshy fruits resembling peppercorns. Components: Cineole essential oil and sesquiterpene carbides, flavonoids. Chasteberry, a natural remedy for mares with ovarian pain: chasteberry is recognized for its beneficial action on ovarian pain. Also called chastity tree, the chastity tree is of interest for its soothing properties on overly hot areas. Numerous studies have shown the beneficial effect of Chasteberry on premenstrual syndromes marked in particular by mood changes such as irritability or hyperemotionality.

For mares with pronounced hormonal disorders, Chasteberry can be given alternately with Hippo regul, a mixture of 12 dehydrated plants selected for their calming properties. Hippo regul promotes the calming of anxious temperaments and helps regulate hormonal syndromes.
